Corrections Policy

Reporting an error

If you believe a date, fact, attribution, or image credit on Trade Triad is incorrect, please use our Contact page and select "Correction request." Where possible, include a link to the page in question and a brief description of the issue.

How we review corrections

We review reported errors against the general, reputable sources described in our Sources & Methodology page. If a correction is warranted, we update the affected page and, where applicable, the related timeline entry or glossary term.

Uncertain history

Not every reported "error" reflects a mistake — many historical dates and details are genuinely disputed among historians. In these cases we aim to make sure our language reflects that uncertainty (for example, using "circa" or noting that a date is debated) rather than asserting a single answer as fact.

Transparency

We do not retroactively alter the historical record to fit a particular narrative. Substantive corrections are made directly to the affected content rather than being hidden or buried.
